What is a Household?
In medieval times it was very common for units of troops to be raised by the powerful nobles throughout the land. These were known as Households. The Society uses a Household structure to simplify the general running of the events that we do, and it's a great way of making friends in the group if you are new to the Society. However, members are not pressured to join a Household - it's entirely your choice.
The Households currently within the MSS are (alphabetically):
- The Arriere-bans
- The House of Bayard
- The Bonivants
- The De Cobhams
- The Hartleys
- The Oxford Household
- The Company of the Red Crow
- The Company of St. Barbara
- The Teutonic Knights
- The Troupe De Morte
- The Volunds
- The William Penny’s Company
- The Worcester Household
