In medieval times it was very common for units of troops to be raised by the powerful nobles throughout the land. These were known as Households. The Society uses a Household structure to simplify the general running of the events that we do, and it's a great way of making friends in the group if you are new to the Society. However, members are not pressured to join a Household - it's entirely your choice.
