The 1471 Battle of Barnet
Major new event - the 1471 Battle of Barnet, on the actual site itself.
Barnet was one of the turning points in the Wars of the Roses, and culminated in the death of the Kingmaker – the all powerful Earl of Warwick. It was also famously the scene of the great mistakes in English battles, where in the fog the Earl of Oxford’s banner of 'Stars and Streamers' was mistaken by his own side for Edward’s 'Sunne in Splendour' and the Oxfords had casualties inflicted upon them by their fellow Lancastrians.
